Cheap L'Equipe 306500 RPM Blender

I don't why, but I was expecting amazing things out of this machine. While it does blend with the best, well, in the end, it is just a blender. I have a Cuisinart CBT-500 that is not far behind in performance (although it is ear splitting loud). Plus, the RPM meter of mine never reached 20,000. For the price, I am not all that impressed. And the 6 year warranty probably is unnecessary. I have had a $30 blender for years with fairly steady use and it hasn't burned up (just don't overload the blender, you have to add things as you go). I also didn't like the plastic pitcher as I prefer glass. And to top it off, I am pretty sure mine was refurbished (it had a few nicks on the housing), which was the final blow and when I decided to send it back. So, not bad, but nothing special.Get more detail about L'Equipe 306500 RPM Blender.

Buying Hamilton Beach 59205 Liquid Blu 5-Speed 48-Ounce Blender, Black

I bought this blender because it stood out between all the other blenders on the market. It has a beautiful line, it worked nice, but only for a few months. I don't think I used it more than 10 times. All of a sudden, after a 2-3 months pause, it stopped when I tried to do a smoothie. It worked for less than a second and after that it stopped. The only thing that still worked was the blue light...
Do not buy this blender! It does not last!Get more detail about Hamilton Beach 59205 Liquid Blu 5-Speed 48-Ounce Blender, Black.

Order Magic Bullet 22 Piece with Bonus Travel/Storage Bag

The Magic Bullet 22 Piece with Bonus Travel/Storage Bag is a handy set of kitchen tools rolled into one motor base device. The initial concept of the product is ingenious, but the actual product is cheaply produced plastic with small tangs that will eventually break off rendering the unit less and less effective as time passes. The motor unit must be used as instructed or it will overheat and fail.

The mugs, and blender portion have small plastic tabs which lock it into the blade device, while the blade device loosely snaps into the motor base.

The reduced price and travel bag were the selling features for me. All 22 parts can be stored and remain clean, ready for use, while in the travel bag. The travel bag is quite large though and will require ample out of sight storage space.

Although the plastic parts are meant to be dishwasher safe, I do not recommend that they be washed in an automatic dishwasher due to the extremes in water hardness, detergents, and heat cycles, all of which are not standard throughout the planet. I strongly recommend hand washing of all plastic parts in mild dish soap and rack dry to preserve the integrity of the plastic parts.

Overall the unit will create all the dishes that are advertised on television, and possibly do a few more tasks that were not mentioned. Had the mating parts been made with a stainless locking band over the plastic, the longevity of the parts may have been extended, but since that is not the case, the usable lifetime of the plastic parts is dubious to say the least.

I bought this for my daughter's apartment and she loved it-she joined the Navy and I inherited it-I just love it. Every morning I make a nutritional smoothie with frozen fruit. It pulverizes the fruit and is easy to clean. A tip-get some 10" straws to sip your smoothie. I received my Waring MX 1000 R 3.0 blender this week. I couldn't be happier with this purchase. It was a bit on the as pricey side but as the old adage stands, you get pay for. This is a substantial machine. One could tell the appliance's quality by the nononsence appearance and heft of the machine straight out of the box. I was startled at first by its power. When I made my first frozen strawberry, frozen peach whole apple, pear, cabbage, celery, ice cube and carrot smoothie, I was truly astonished at the ease with which I was able to produce such a healthy but tasty frozen concoction. So far, I can find no faults with this machine's design or function. I wholeheartedly recommend this blender despite the relatively high high-end price tag.Get more detail about Waring MX1000R Professional 3.0 -Horsepower Blender.

Oster 12-Speed Blender Brushed Nickel - Red Metallic Best Quality

I was quite pleased that the pitcher is made of thick, sturdy glass. But the base is an entirely different matter. In fact, it feels like this base belong with an entirely different Oster pitcher. While this pitcher feels heavy and solid, in contrast the base feels light, flimsy and plasticky. When the blender is on, the base vibrates and rattles in a loud, harsh way that is beyond what I'd expect for normal operation -- especially considering that the hardest thing I've put in the blender is pieces of frozen bananas for smoothies. It's as if the blender vibrates so wildly because it's so top-heavy -- the base just doesn't have the weight or sturdiness to properly absorb the vibrations from the heavy pitcher.

This blender has made a couple of dozen frozen banana smoothies for me without a problem, but it is disappointing that the base -- which looked to me like it would be heavy and sturdy -- is actually mostly plastic and vibrates wildly. I make a smoothie at least once a day, so I wouldn't be surprised if the base cracks or fails before very long. I guess I've learned my lesson; next time I will pay more for all-around solid construction.Get more detail about Oster 12-Speed Blender Brushed Nickel - Red Metallic.

None of the metal parts are included, so you'll have to recover them from your old blender (if it's a replacement), and get the proper tools to remove them from one and install them in the other. Be careful, the blades are very sharp. It doesn't come with a top, either. The glass carafe itself is the same as the original as far as I can tell. I'd have preferred a complete replacement even for a somewhat higher price.Get more detail about Waring 3573 blender jar..

Hello,
I was worried reading the earier review. This fits perfectly in my bar blender. This has a much inmproved design. The old design caught food or ice below the blades and either would not blend or would bind the machine. I think this happened right before I needed to get the part. Ice formed below and stuck the blades even though the machine kept workindg. I found a nut and a washer and metal grindings in the drink. The blades were not attached anymore. This new design is tapered below and the blades sit higher up to ease food/ice mixing. Thanks Hamilton beach.

Lesson: Check the sturdiness of the plastic caps of your blender before purchase.
After 6 months of sporadic use, the base cap to this blender cracked slightly. After 8 months, it's completely in pieces. Now I'm no muscle man and I wash all the parts by hand, so it's more than a little disappointing when the cap cracks and a replacement is not covered under their 1-year warranty and I have to fork over $5-10 to buy the part.

It was a good blender for juices (not so good for more viscous stuff) and pretty easy to clean. I especially liked that the jar was made of glass instead of plastic. But no more Oster brand for me after this.

5.0 out of 5 stars Osterizers rule, May 14, 2009

I've owned blenders for decades. I started with Waring but tired of their motors burning out and bought an Osterizer 10 speed with glass container some 25 years ago. That blender finally died this week, the motor burning out (what a smell!). Now, it was only 120 watts, so I suppose I was fortunate it lasted for around 25 years considering the punishment it got -- I often made peanut butter in it from oven roasted peanuts, and it died making peanut butter!

Soon after buying my 10 speed Osterizer, I bought an Oster food processor attachment for it for $10 at a local store, and I've used that exclusively for grinding meat. It does a very nice job. So, in replacing my burned out 10 speed I figured I'd get another Osterizer so I can continue to use this food processor as well as the two glass containers I have (I picked up an extra somewhere). I was pleased to discover that the present Osterizer line accommodates the old containers, etc.

Yesterday I made the rounds at the local big box stores and picked up the 6694 14 speed. The glass container is wider than the ones I had already, and I figure that's a very good thing. It will be easier to scrape out peanut butter, smoothies, whatever using a plastic spatula. Now, the glass isn't as thick, so I will have to be even more careful... I have no backup wide glass container, after all. I now have two sets of blades (the new one looks identical to the old one I bought 25 years ago!). The new one is incredibly sharp, but I'm sure that some day I will need to sharpen it, like I did with the old one (which I will hang onto, of course). I have used a small fine file to sharpen the blades on occasion.

Noise! Yes, I've read a lot of reviews of the Osterizers that discuss noise. Well, I keep ear protection handy in the kitchen just for this purpose. Used to be foam plugs, but now I reach for a $2 pair of earmuffs I picked up at Harbor Freight! Works like a charm and eliminates that painful sensation of too loud noises (I use this when using power tools around the house too, or anything else that generates excessive noise).

My 6694 is white and matches all my other kitchen appliances very nicely. I considered the Beehive and some of the other high power Osterizers (the ones I saw yesterday were 600 watts!), but decided that the 450 watt 6694, which cost 1/2 as much, might actually serve me better (assuming it doesn't burn out... have my fingers crossed). It's bound to be quieter, has high and low power toggle switch and thus two pulse settings. In other words, it's more versatile than the new 600 watt Osterizers, which evidently have only one pulse setting (with the exception of an electronic version I saw yesterday, which has two). My old 10 speed had 3 separate pulse buttons. When using the food processor attachment, a variety of pulse settings is important. The 6694 is also a little shorter than the 600 watt models, one of my considerations because it has to allow my kitchen cabinet doors to swing over it. The 6694's very tallest part is at about 15 inches above the counter, which is the same height as my old 10 speed.

I'm worried about the new 14 speed, though. I've read reviews about the base breaking and inspecting I find that indeed the plastic base is relatively flimsy. It's barely if at all more than 1/2 as thick as the plastic of my old 10 speed. The 14 speed's base weighs in at 2 lb. 12 oz. while the 10 speed is 3 lb. 6 oz. And the 14 speed has a much more powerful motor, which tells you that the construction of the base has been sacrificed on the alter of skimping on materials. Well, if the new 14 speed dies a premature death I'll probably spring for a high end Osterizer, and I'll do more homework next time.

This 14 speed Oster 6694 passed its first real test, making peanut butter. It behaved pretty similar to my old 10 speed. It was about the same loudness. I measured the power consumption during the process. Rated at 450 watts, it actually drew about 600 watts at the highest speed and maximum load (i.e. when it was laboring with a thick sludge of semi ground peanuts). When the peanuts were somewhat better ground, the consumption dropped to around the rated 450 watts and when things were pretty smooth it dropped down to around 260 watts, all this at the highest speed.Get more detail about Oster 6608 Blender, 14 Speed.

Having been a long time user of a similar product (Moulinex Turbo) for 8 years, my old unit had seen better days and was in need of replacing. So, I made some assumptions about the product based on my experience with my other Cuisinart products and purchased the CSB-33 QuikPrep Hand Blender. Much to my dismay, the Cuisinart hand blender performs nowhere nearly as well as the Moulinex did the day I threw it away. The Cuisinart has a blade that is not sharpened. Consequently, it doesn't cut up food (like blueberries, for instance) very well. It just sort of beats stuff to a pulp, quite literally, and doesn't puree them into liquid. It also has a system of holes around the perimeter of the blade guard that just get clogged up.

Cheap Jack LaLanne Health Master 100 Blender

Posted by eleanora | Posted in , , , , , | Posted on 4:11 AM

I am a Baby Boomer. I watched Jack La Lanne on TV when I was child. So I was very pleased when Jack introduced the Health Master 100 Blender. It complemented his relentless quest to educate the masses about how proper eating and exercise promote long life with very little illness.

I bought the Health Master 100 and was very disappointed. After making a few smoothes followed by washing the pitcher with warm soapy water, it began to leak. I agree with Christopher R. Myers that the bearings at the bottom of the blender are completely inadequate. The bearings and the Power Disc rusted out leaving a considerable amount of rust under the pitcher and settling on the rubber seal between the pitcher and Centering Posts. I found this issue totally unacceptable. Also, MissMaxx "Miss Demeanor makes an excellent point, and I agree, that now and then the Blender leaves small chunks of fruit or greens.

I will never buy a Jack La Lanne product in the future.

Just like the title says. I gave this to my parents as a gift. Used only for mixed drinks occasionally. The whole reason I buy these higher end (I know there are way more expensive blenders, I worked as a bartender while in college) products is because I don't want to have to buy them twice. I sent an email to Waring regarding warranty repair. If they fix it under warranty I will re-write my review.Get more detail about Waring WPB05BC Kitchen Classic Blender, Brushed Chrome.
