When I first pulled this out of my old dorm room supplies I was enthusiastic. It has a very nice, clean design. However, I was sorely disappointed when I tried to use it to make smothies with ice. It is VERY DIFFICULT TO GET IT TO CHOP ICE (it doesn't suck the ice to the bottom well). Go for something else. This model is inadequate.
