I read Thom Thom's review and was a little nervous especially when I saw the notice on the Amazon page for this product. We opened the box, set up the blender, turned it on and all worked perfect. So we made some smoothies. One thing I did find was that it is better to make a half pitcher than a full one. In a full pitcher it is hard to get it all blended. In a half pitcher it works like a charm. It is a very nice looking blender also.
