I got this blender as a wedding gift and thought it was great. The first time I used it, the motor died. So, I called the company and they replaced it. I had the 2nd one for about 6 months (used it rarely) and the motor died.

It's great cause it has all of those recipes on there but if you're blending something thicker than oil & flour, the motor dies. I do not recommend purchasing this product.Get more detail about Westinghouse WST2000W Intelliblend Blender, White.

This Product looks good but not good for making dosa or idli because i got 2 of them in 18 months both r gone smoking while grinding rice for dosa.1st one came around 8 months then again i bought the same one because i can use the jars and travel cup but this one also came around 10 months. This one is good for who don't cook indian food. I gave 3stars because this one not made for help indian cooking (indian dosa or idle or snacks). This works good crushing ice blending things.
compare to this one i used 12 speed it came around more than 4 yrs grinding batter and all other things.
18 speed one has a glass jar it is heavy to handle, 12 speed one has Styrene jar light weight and easy to handle.
one more bad thing is u need to add more water when u r grinding, if u pour more water it leaks bottom of the jar. Get more detail about Hamilton Beach 56456 Stay-or-Go 18-Speed Blender with Travel Cup, White.

The motor on this blender stinks, basically. I used mine every day for a month and then it broke. Possibly good for the occasional blended drink and that's it. Get more detail about Hamilton Beach 50199R Blendmaster Ultra.

I've always had issues with blenders that I've purchased. They either weren't powerful enough, didn't last long enough, or were a pain to clean. The BlendTec could very well be the best blender I've ever purchased -- at this price, it better be! :)

Folks who look at the BlendTec will quickly identify it as the same blender used by Jamba Juice, Starbucks, and various other beverage shops. There's a reason for this -- it's powerful, reliable, and blends intelligently. I've found that the only difference between the home and commercial models is power consumption, configuration, and warranty. The home models are just as good as the commercial ones, they are just made to operate on a standard 15 amp home circuit.

The Connoisseur model definitely deserves a place of prominence next to your espresso maker, food processor, and bowl mixer just on looks alone. The pre-programmed functions are useful, and more importantly they WORK! I use two modes regularly: soup and smoothie. Both work flawlessly and exactly as advertised. I have never encountered a piece of unblended food matter utilizing these modes, and the computer adjusts the blender's speed on the fly to suit the resistance met inside the jar. It also pulses to ensure food is effectively drawn towards the bottom.

The unit has a single large blade that is NOT knife sharp. I emphasize this point because, if the blender is powerful enough, the blade doesn't need to be sharp. The best blending occurs by smashing, not by cutting. Your food processor cuts with a sharp knife, and no matter how long you process something, it always comes out somewhat grainy. Not so in the BlendTec. If you cream soup, it will be the smoothest, creamiest concoction you've ever made -- and to my astonishment, it is so well emulsified that the liquid will not separate from the solids after sitting in the fridge!

The blending jar is wide enough so you can stick your hand inside and clean it properly, and because the blades aren't little knives, you don't have to worry about cutting yourself to shreds. Someone used his or her brain when they designed this appliance!

The Connoisseur is essentially the Total Home blender with a stainless control panel and the ability to be mounted underneath the counter. It also comes with two jars -- 64 oz. and 96 oz. -- along with an absolutely wonderful cook book that was far more than I had expected. The larger 96 oz. jar is indispensable if you are going to blend decent volumes of soup.

BUY THIS PRODUCT. You will love it!Get more detail about Blendtec A3-31E-FLP Connoisseur In-Counter Blender, Stainless Steel.

The only complaint I would have for this smoothie maker is it took way too long to come out on the market. This is a great smoothie maker for the price. It chops through ice and frozen fruit like it is butter, never any ice chips. As long as frozen fruit and ice are allowed to sit in the liquid portion for about 20-30 seconds and then blended, there are no problems with chunks or smoothie maker motor failure.Get more detail about Back to Basics SM700 Signature II Smoothie Maker, Black.

Great blender until about a month later when the 'Jar' cracks. Look online and you'll see dozens of people with the same problem. Motor is great, but the plastic container cracks and leaks. Also look online and you'll see that replacement jars are not available. Villaware should be ashamed--especially since the motor is so great. They just don't stand behind their products ... or their customers. Don't waste your money. Get more detail about Villaware Pro Infinity Blender V001-43100.

Cheap Proctor Silex 58130R 8 Speed Blender with 48oz Jar

I bought this blender to bring to work, and of course the cheap price is what attracted me (since I was leaving it there). I make supplement shakes every day for lunch with frozen fruits in it. This blender makes the best shakes BY FAR! I have a $150 Cuisinart blender at home, and even that does not compare to how smooth and fast this blender works. Another nice thing is that the blade is a part of the container which makes it very east to clean. This blender is fantastic!Get more detail about Proctor Silex 58130R 8 Speed Blender with 48oz Jar.

Every once in awhile I enjoy a protein shake; so every once in awhile I need a dependable blender. That's where the OSTER 14 SPEED BLENDER comes in. Just put in your ingredients, replace the lid, hold on and mix. 'Tis best to use the intermediate speeds; if you go up on the high end speeds the blender tends to get a little. . .agitated.

This Oster oozes convenience. Easy touch push button controls. A scratch-resistant "glass" jar that you can toss in the dishwasher. The 450 watt motor is more than sufficient (who in the world will be trying to blend their ratchet set, for example?). And although I've never attempted to crush ice, this product does have the stainless steel "Ice Crusher" blade. Maybe it would crush a rib eye, but I'm not going to find out (although I've been known to do wackier things).

So Osterize your shakes, your snacks, your fruit blends, your veggie smoothies, your Milk of Magnesia constitutionals, with the OSTER 14 SPEED BLENDER. Being mixed up can taste good.

Purchase Oster 6710 In2itive New Tech Blender and Food Processor with LCD Screen, White

I bought it because of it's nice design and high tech features. I also liked the metal housing, so I bought it. First issue was a leaking jar, received a new one from oster and it leaked too. Bought the glass jar, it worked good until all the plastic tabs on the bottom broke off and the unit thought that the jar was not on top of the blender. Then after a year the cog broke while making ice cream shakes. I have thrown it in the trash and will buy a cheap blender next time. Oster should have gone back to their old roots and built a sturdier machine for what they charge.Get more detail about Oster 6710 In2itive New Tech Blender and Food Processor with LCD Screen, White.

I agree with the other reviewer--it's a great product. I think you're supposed to hand wash the cups, but mine have done fine in the dishwasher. I also bought it for protein shakes and it makes it MUCH easier than using a full blender. The reason I only gave it 3 stars is because mine died after just about 3 months. I think it's because some of the liquid entered the motor unit, which is why I'm not bothering with returning it despite the warranty. I've had some problems with it sealing well after taking the gasket off to clean the blade unit; seems the gasket just didn't fit well after that (and one of the gaskets moved and got cut by the blades while it was operating). But it's hard to clean it well without removing the gasket. Despite that, I'm probably going to buy another one and hope I don't have that problem again because I use this everyday.Get more detail about MaxiMatic EPB1700 Elite Cuisine 15 piece Personal Blender Set.

I had a previous version of this blender for 5-6 years of very light use. I started making protein smoothies with crushed ice and it pooped out shortly thereafter. The blade strips from the drive. Couldn't find a replacement. If this stripping is a feature to prevent burning out the motor then a replacement blade should be readily available. It didn't do an acceptable job of crushing ice anyway. I bought a 50$ Osterizer and it's a little smaller but does ice quickly and well without problems. Plus replacement parts are cheap and readily available.Get more detail about KitchenAid KSB5PK4 Komen Foundation, 5-Speed Blender, Pink.

Now that I own one, I see them being used on the food network cooking shows. I relly like the unit. Blender works great, and does a nice job on ice cubes, frozen fruit. Glass is heavy and dish washer safe. Rubber teeth looks like they will wear down with time.

Important Safety Tip! The unit does not have a safety interface switch, and the unit can operate the blades without the protection of the cannister. This could cause severe injury to young kids or the elderly. So I would not recommend it to be used around young kids. Get more detail about KitchenAid KSB5CR 5-Speed Blender, Black/Chrome.

This blender is just about perfect in every single way! I can put almost anything in it and it comes out with NO lumps. Gawd I LOVE it! It makes everything from smoothies, hot soups, ice cream, salsa, nut butters, etc. It's also VERY easy to clean. In my opinion, blows doors over the vitamix or anything else.Get more detail about K-Tec Champ HP3 Blender White - Identical to the BlendTec Total Blender.

My last two carafes lasted less than 18 months combined. And that is very light use, a couple of smoothies a week at most. I agree the blender works fantastic, but at over $60 each to replace these junky carafes - it's not a great deal.Get more detail about K-Tec Champ HP3 Blender Black - Identical to the BlendTec Total Blender.

I just got off the Breville USA site and....

1. It appears that I can't get a new glass jar to save my life!

2. Also, have you ever solved the leak issue with this blender?

3. Because of the constant leakage, I'm forced to clean the top of the motor often. Because of this, the finish is coming off in three quarter sized places.

Is this scripture describing your blender? Looks pretty outside, but inside it's full of disturbing issues and poor engineering?

Matt 23:27 "Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you are like whitewashed tombs which indeed appear beautiful outwardly, but inside are full of dead men's bones and all uncleanness.
