I was hoping to get an appliance that would allow me to make smoothies, sauces, gravies, and soups. Thus far, it's done all those things very well, leaving no chunky matter in the final mix. The only potential trouble is that the blade is relatively shallow, which forces you to have quite a bit of liquid in order for it to blend properly.
