This bender is the one we all thought we were buying years ago when we bought the name brand market blenders. My family uses this Vita-mix at least 3x daily for smoothies and raw foods. To date I have never heard it bog down, no matter what we put in it. One gets the feeling that the vita-mix could grind and blend pool balls without ever breaking a sweat. We also enjoy the tamping rod that comes with the unit. Plunging it through the opening in the lid, it is just the right length, so you never have to worry that you might hit the blades.
