Great blender! I can't believe how fast it perfectly and smoothly blended ice for my margarita in less than 5 sec. I got this to replace my older blender that took forever to blend ice and also had a warped lid from the dishwasher. I agree with other reviewers that the plastic parts seem a little cheap, esp the collar at the base of the glass container. I don't think this will be a problem and i plan to hand wash only; the lid seems to be designed better though but don't want to risk damaging it in the dishwasher.
